As part of the strengthening of cooperation in cybersecurity and digital transformation, Côte d’Ivoire, through the Ministry of Digital Transition and Digitalization, will participate in the African Cybersecurity Forum 2025, which will take place in Rabat, Morocco from February 3 to 5, 2025. This major cybersecurity event will bring together ministers, experts and leaders from the sector to discuss the strategic challenges of digital transformation and the security of cyberspace in Africa.
The Ivorian delegation, led by the Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalization, Mr. Kalil KONATE, is composed of Mr. Souleymane DIAKITE Coty, President of the ARTCI Regulatory Council, Mrs. Patricia AMAND, member of the ARTCI Regulatory Council, Mr. Lakoun OUATTARA, Director General of ARTCI, Colonel-Major Moussa Guelpéchin OUATTARA, Director General of the National Agency for System Security (ANSSI), Mr. Nongolougo SORO, Director General of the National Computer Development Company (SNDI), as well as other experts in the field.
The main objective of this participation in the African Cybersecurity Forum 2025 is to allow Mr. Kalil KONATE and the delegation accompanying him to soak up the best practices and cybersecurity models in force in Africa. More specifically, the mission aims to strengthen regional cooperation, promote national initiatives, strengthen digital resilience, forge business partnerships and contribute to continental security.
At the end of the forum, the Ivorian delegation will visit the Ministry of!’Digital Economy and Digital Transformation of Togo, for a working visit scheduled for February 4 to 7, 2025. The objective of this mission is to explore Togo’s know-how in the digital economy in order to promote infrastructure development, stimulate innovation and meet the growing connectivity needs of Côte d’Ivoire.
For the Ivorian delegation, this includes evaluating the regulation of the digital sector, observing competition policies, identifying development initiatives and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The knowledge and experiences acquired during these two events will allow Côte d’Ivoire to strengthen its capacities in terms of cybersecurity and digital transformation, while consolidating its relations with its African partners. These missions are part of a desire to build a secure and resilient digital environment, at the service of digital development.
