ARTCI and ICASA seal their Partnership

On the sidelines of its participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 held in Barcelona from February 26 to 28, 2024, ARTCI finalized the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the South African Telecommunications regulator on collaboration in the following areas :

Regulation of postal, broadcasting and telecommunications services ;
Promotion of technical cooperation in the field of posts, broadcasting and telecommunications ;
Sharing experiences and best practices on digitization ;
Technological and regulatory convergence ;
Cybersecurity and data protection ;
Consumer protection, complaints, awareness raising and dispute resolution ;
Regulation and economic interventions.

This MoU will allow the two institutions to strengthen their cooperation and pool their expertise on key issues in the telecommunications sector.
