COMMUNIQUE

L’Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC (ARTCI) informe l’ensemble des opérateurs et prestataires de service du secteur postal exerçant sur le territoire national, que conformément aux dispositions de la loi N° 2013-702 du 10 octobre 2013 portant Code des Postes, l’exercice de toute activité postale est soumis à une autorisation préalable de l’ARTCI.

A cet effet, par communiqué du 7 janvier 2017, l’ARTCI invitait tous les opérateurs et prestataires de service du secteur postal à prendre toutes les dispositions pour lui adresser leur demande d’autorisation avant le 28 février 2017.

Draft press release related to the reference order of the company IHS

 

The Telecommunications / ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI) informs the general public and stakeholders of the telecommunications / ICT industry that the reference offer of the company IHS was approved by the decision No. 2016-0123 of the Regulatory Board of ARTCI.

Consequently, the company CI IHS may validly publish its reference offer.

L’Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d’Ivoire informe la population et les consommateurs des services de Télécommunications/TIC du retrait des licences d’exploitation des opérateurs GREENN, COMIUM CI, NIAMOUTIE TELECOM (Café Mobile) et WARID, depuis le vendredi 1er avril 2016.

En conséquence, il est recommandé aux abonnés desdits opérateurs, de ne plus acheter les produits et services (puces, recharges, etc.) commercialisés par lesdits opérateurs.

PRESSE RELEASE

The website of the company COMIUM broadcasts a press release dated April 1st, 2016 in which:
- it would have discovered with surprise and regret the publication in the press of a decision of ARTCI relative to the withdrawal of its operating license, even though this license would be valid until 2026,
- it would be placed in receivership,
- it would have paid in the amount of 15 billion CFA francs of his debt to the Government and had proposed a payment plan which runs until 2018,
- It would be in negotiations with the authorities in order to obtain this license.
Without denying any operator's right of communication, ARTCI reiterates that the information made available to the public on the occasion of the exercise of this right should be imbued with necessary information and truth, that in its capacity as Regulatory Authority for the sector of Telecommunications / ICT in Côte d’Ivoire, it has the legal power especially regarding the order number 2012-293 dated March 21st , 2012, to take any suitable measure to punish any action to cause disorder in the industry.
